Summer Intern
Matthew Jones-Summer Intern 
Matthew Jones was born in Scranton, PA in 1982. His family moved to Bradenton, Fl when he was very young and attended Community Baptist Church. At the age of 13 Matt began trusting Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Shortly after salvation Matt became convinced that God wanted him in full-time Christian ministry. After graduating from Community Christian School in 2000, Matt went on to Bob Jones University where he studied Bible. He took a few years off from school in 2001. During this time he married Jenny Davis, a long time Grace Baptist member. In 2007 he and Jenny moved back to South Carolina so that he could finish his degree. Currently he is a senior Bible major with only one more semester to complete. After school, Matt and Jenny plan to obey the Lord's direction in their life and go wherever He wants them to. Their goals are to evangelize the lost, edify believers, and glorify God with their lives.
As part of the training at Bob Jones University, every Bible major must participate in a ten week internship in the ministry. Matt will be serving with us for the large part of the summer. His duties will include preaching, teaching, visiting, some grounds work, and other selected opportunities at the discretion of Pastor Burnam. He will be working closely with Pastor Pierce and Pastor Burnam in order to learn the practical aspects of the pastoral ministry.
